Boom-Boom-LaRue, Passenger on our Train

Posted on December 13, 2016 by Boom Boom La Rue

My friends at Doorway to Recovery and I hope that the wonders of that first Christmas will be with you throughout this holy season and always!

We also hope the coming new year will bring you and your family the blessings of opportunity, peace, hope, good health, and love.

Give yourself a gift and wrap yourself in His Word.  Believe it and live it!  Cherish life.  Keep gratitude and kindness with you as close companions, and share these beautiful virtues every day.  Someone generously did that for me when I received the following message.  Now I would love to share it with you… pass it on!  We all want to thank you for being a passenger on this… our train!  God bless you!

TRAVELING BY TRAIN

A Story of Life

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel at our side.  However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.  As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.  Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum.  Others will go so unnoticed that we don’t realize they vacated their seats.  This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.  Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is:  We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down.  So, we must live in the best way – – love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are.  It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.

We wish you a joyful journey on the train of life.  Reap success and give lots of love.  More importantly, thank God for the journey.  Lastly, we thank you for being one of the passengers on our train.

What a genuine and sincere wish and story for Christmas to her readers is this!! If we all heard just a few more wishes like this at Christmastime, the real meaning of this glorious time of year might not be so hard to find.

    Thanks for the thoughts, Boom-Boom.

    Tim

I’ve been riding in the seat right behind Boom-Boom for over 50 years…during the ride, Boom-Boom has taught me compassion, kindness, integrity and most of all, love…we have seen so many beautiful things along the way…looking forward to the rest of the journey. xo

Life is a journey travailing with good company will defiantly make for a much smoother ride. All-tho you never know where your last stop will be or when it will arrive it is up to you to decide what rails to ride. Wishing a Merry Christmas to all

Very nice thoughts. Thank you for sharing that. I wish this had the Facebook-type ability to hit “Like” on others’ comments. I agree with so many of them. Thank you for your friendship on this train.
