My name is Dave Wilson. I was born in Detroit, but grew up in the Redford/Livonia area. For a living, I was a meat cutter, truck driver, and a tool and die worker. I lived in Livonia for 40 years, and traveled around the country… always with a beer in hand. After realizing the financial burden associated with drinking, I decided it was time to stay sober and called The Doorway to Recovery. Since then, I enjoy my retirement, as well as my time with Doorway to Recovery. I am the Transportation Coordinator for 15 recovery homes in the Metro-Detroit Area, as well as manage inventory, ordering, and distribution of supplies to all the recovery homes. Doorway to Recovery has changed my life and it can change yours too!
