Henry Ford Museum Outreach Partnership
The Doorway to Recovery Program and Services is grateful to be able to partner with The Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, and Ford Rouge Factory Tour to provide world class cultural enrichment and historical experiences that benefit those in addiction recovery and provide additional pathways to change for those who are taking steps to change their lives. Through their community outreach program, we have been blessed to visit the Henry Ford on a regular basis, thus educating and enriching the lives of those in our recovery programs.
A visit to The Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, or Ford Rouge Factory Tour typically includes educational opportunities, (sometimes) lunch, plus some special events. Trips to these great venues typically occur quarterly. The Henry Ford Museum provides a walk down history lane, showcasing everything from presidential limos, to the Rosa Parks bus, and so many things in between. Greenfield Village is a walk down history (memory) lane, visiting this historic village opens individual’s minds to possibilities of the future. The Ford Rouge Factory Tour brings awareness and understanding of modern day ingenuity and how a lot of little pieces can come together to make a beautiful final project.
